Halloween – Daria Costume

Happy Halloween! I can say this since it is not technically even Halloween yet.

I am sure most of you dressed up this weekend. I was so excited to be one of my idols from my teenage years, Daria. I think the show had a definite influence in forming my sarcastic self. It was a very easy costume to put together. I also had the opportunity to wear the full look twice. I purchased the glasses on ebay but everything else was either borrowed (boots) or thrifted. I was actually shocked at how many people didn’t know who I was…

We had so much fun both nights. Bryan got into the spirit and dressed up as a lumber jack. I am a sucker for accuracy, so while I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to find a zip up green jacket,  I did find the perfect color blazer and just had to switch the buttons.

The tradition to match my costume to my hair cut lived on! You can read more about this and how I was Margot Tenebaum last year here.

so so amazing. dead on. the only reason i had to ask who you were is bc i am terrible with anything pop culture. my parents essentially kept me in a closet until i was 18.
